Year at a Glance

Particularly for first year Shepherds, the following roadmap paints a picture of what you can expect the House Church Year to look and feel like.

August: “reunion”

  • Celebrate summer achievements and mourn over summer heartaches.

  • Cast vision over your group.

  • Help kick-off new Huddles as needed.

  • Name and pray as a House Church those who are near to you but far from God.

September: “Gameplan”

October: “Outward”

  • This is historically one of the highest attended months.

  • Set the example for missional living by inviting people from your Top 5 and encourage your HC to invite their own Top 5.

  • Reorient yourselves around the vision of House Church: living at the intersection of Word & Prayer and Meal & Mission.

November: “Spread Hope”

  • Ensure HC has a clean plan for Local Outreach answering “what” and “when”.

  • Identify need for healthy multiplication and have conversations with potential new leaders.

  • Key Date: Gospel Partnership Training on November 16th (Sign-up Here).

December: “Advent”

  • Set the tone of the Advent season early in the month.

  • Identify and come alongside those hurting particulary during the Christmas season.

  • Key Date: Incubator Retreat on December 6th-8th.

January: “Maturity”

  • Re-cast vision.

  • Consider how your HC may grow in:

    • Deeper prayer during W&P

    • Dining with non-believing friends.

    • Taking strides in Local Outreach.

February: “Sentness”

March: “perservere”

  • This is a busy month - plan ahead, communicate clearly, and delegate as needed.

  • Encourage potential future Shepherds to consider leading a Word & Prayer.

  • Check in on Local Outreach progress early and allow your LOC to share the plan for the coming months.

April: “Risen”

  • Meal Night this month is critical - think deeply about how to bring people in your community into this special night.

  • Key Date: Gospel Partnership Training on April 12th. (Sign-up here)

May: “Celebrate”

  • Key Date: Incubator Retreat on May 2nd-4th.

  • Resist the temptation to lament what you think the Lord has not done and praise him boldly for what He has.

  • Ensure multiplication/leadership changes are communicated clearly.

  • Prepare your HC for the summer months as a time of rest & renewal.
