House Church

Seven Mile Road is a congregation of House Churches - small groups of people cultivating relationships with God, one another, and the community. These groups are designed to meet at the intersection of Word and Prayer, Meal and Mission. House Church is the primary way to connect with others at Seven Mile Road and engage our city.

Joining a House Church

House Churches meet on Sunday from 4-6pm or Wednesday from 7-9pm. Please use the below map to find the House Church closest to you on your preferred date to meet. Then fill out a Connect Card and select the House Church that you would like to attend. A Shepherd from this House Church will follow up with details on the next gathering within the following week.

Childcare for House Churches

We are committed to parents experiencing concentrated and vulnerable discussions, as they are transformed by the community and God's Word to be the primary disciple-makers in their homes. Therefore, we reimburse the cost of childcare for Prayer Meeting corporately and Word + Prayer Nights across all House Churches. Each House Church is responsible for coordinating childcare for their group's needs, whether that is centralized in one home or spread across multiple.

Monthly Rhythms

Week 1: Prayer meeting

This is a chance for us to come together for corporate, urgent, unified prayer. This fuels all that we do. We meet at 7pm on the first Wednesday of every month.

Week 2: Word and Prayer 

This is a 2 hour meeting that is built around telling the truth about ourselves and God. This is where we taste real community and apply God’s Word to real life.

Week 3: meal night

This is a chance for neighbors, co-workers, and friends to come and experience a taste of our community. This is about having fun, eating good food, and reaching out to new people.

Week 4 (and 5): word and prayer

This is a 2 hour meeting that is built around telling the truth about ourselves and God. This is where we taste real community and apply God’s Word to real life.

These groups are intended to multiply on an 18-24 month life cycle.

We are proactively finding ways to love those far from God and the city of Houston as a whole.
