Seven Mile Road Vision

As the Seven Mile Road community evolves and expands, we continue to maintain our vision — we exist to embody and declare God’s redemptive story to every Houstonian. As we joyfully live this out, it has become clear that the movement toward an additional worship service on Sunday mornings will allow us to live into this mission.

Making Room + Unreasonable Hospitality

We will transition to a three-service schedule in order to make room on Sunday mornings to effectively equip our growing number of house churches, families, and expanding community of worshipers. Our aim is to continue serving Houstonians with generous, open hearts. To do this well, we must make room - more room! - to enjoy God each week alongside one another.

A Smooth transition

We will move to our three-service schedule on January 4th, 2026. Services will take place at 8:15am, 9:45am, and 11:30am. Kids Discipleship in the Kids Ministry wing will be available at each service, and we look forward to worshiping alongside you and your loved ones in new ways in 2026!

FAQ…

  • What is the difference between each of the three services? Each worship service is identical - no difference between the three.

  • What changes are being made to Sunday worship services? A few liturgical elements have been adjusted to permit a third service, such as reducing time spent on announcements, but the services will feel largely the same!

  • During which service will the Kids Ministry run? All of them! Our Kids Ministry will host Kids Discipleship during each of the three services. We are excited to be able to welcome more kids on Sunday mornings as a result of an additional service time!

  • How will these new service times affect House Church Foundations? During the Spring of 2026, House Church Foundations will take place during the 9:45am service. If you are new to Seven Mile Road and planning to meet for House Church Foundations at 9:45am, you are invited to worship with us either before or after, at 8:15am or 11:30am!

  • Will Newcomers Lunches still take place? Yes! We will still host Newcomers Lunch periodically throughout the year. They will take place after the 11:30am service concludes.
