First Service Time Change | 8:05am

Beginning Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2026 at 8:05am

Beginning on Easter Sunday, April 5th,
we will shift our first service time to 8:05am.

As the Seven Mile Road community evolves and expands, we continue to maintain clarity of vision — we exist to embody and declare God’s redemptive story to every Houstonian.

In 2026, we made the decision as a community to adopt a third Sunday worship service. This has been a fruitful transition, and we are grateful for the Lord’s hand in facilitating a smooth shift!

After leaning in to three services for the first part of the year, it has become increasingly clear that we need more time between our first and second services on Sunday mornings.

First Service Time Change will support us
in the following areas:

  • Allow for baptisms and child dedications to take place during the first service

    • Presently, our tight turnaround window between the first and second services does not give us room to host these during the first service.

  • Permit volunteer teams and staff support to have more turnover time between services

    • Wider window will allow our volunteers and staff to get to where they need to be with more breathing room!

  • Help alleviate parking stress

    • The current service times have created a bottleneck of traffic flow - first service guests are trying to depart, while second service guests are trying to arrive.
