What we value...
We exist to embody and declare God's redemptive story to every Houstonian. Our values serve as a path that continually guides us toward our mission.
We chase joy and believe it will be maximized as we know, love, and walk with God. He is a person and ours is a relational journey with him, full of ever-expanding joy. (Psalm 4:6-8, 16:1-11; Philippians 4:4-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Revelation 21:1-4)
We love people – all of them, without exception. As a community who has met God and been renewed by his grace, we cannot help but love those who bear his image. (Mark 12:29-31; James 2:1-13; Luke 15)
We love the local church and embrace it as our family. God is a good father, Jesus our older brother, and we are siblings knit together by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:12-17,29; 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8; 1 Timothy 5:1-2)
We are fearlessly committed to the truth, both about ourselves and about God. His Word is to be treasured and we will be an honest, humble people in his presence. (John 1:14; Acts 20:20, 26-27; Ephesians 4:15-16; James 5:16; Revelation 22:18-19)
God is on the move in the world and we want to be a part of what he's doing. Movement cannot be manipulated but can be experienced where multiplication and partnership meet. (Matthew 9:36-38; 28:16-20; John 17:20-23; Acts 1:8; 13:1-3; Philippians 4:14-20)
